what a week
Well, it's been quite a week, starting with me spending much of last Friday in the emergency room w/ dehydration, accompanied by a wicked chest cold that left me with laryngitis that's still lingering. It was rounded out yesterday when my Sadie girl bid us goodbye. She died here at home in a little bed we had made up for her. It was a peaceful passing, but heart-wrenching for me, nonetheless.
In knitting news, I am carrying on with Tempting, despite my yarn shortage, but if it looks bad as I get further along, I will order some. I'm spacing right now as to who commented with a link to some still available, but thank you! My sister, having given up on a mock-cable tank she had started, gave me her supllies, but as I worked on, I realized the yarn was all wrong for the pattern. I think it would look lovely as a Clapotis, though. The colorway is Willy Winky. What is up with that name, by the way? Is it just me, or is that a little perverse? Ha!
Also, I frogged the boob triangles on last summers' Cleo, also for the aforementioned sister. They were all gapey and billowy, so I need to reknit them. I think I need to figure out how to adjust the pattern to make them in between the two largest cup sizes, but I'm a bit scared of all that math. I emailed the designer, so maybe she will have some words of wisdom.
Today, I was welcomed home with a package from my Knitty Secret Pal! Behold the easter fun:

Loooot! Loads of Cadbury Mini-Eggs in those plastic eggs, my all-time favorite candy! Also, in the cute pink satin bunny bag, M&Ms! Yummy-smelling bath goodies & a lollipop candle!! But, BEST of all, stitch marker supplies!!!

And some cute amethyst earrings that are totally my style (excuse the crappy picture):

And, she knit one of those adorable bunnies I have been seeing around! Here is Vivienne, giving it a little pet:

It really cheered me up, after a truly craptacular week. Thanks, secret pal, whoever you are!!

So sorry about Sadie's passing. It is hard to go through... take care.
I am working on Tempting too (with about 4 or 5 other projects on the side)... fun and easy, but I still have to pay attention so I don't mess up the ribbing!
Very nice Secret pal gift, have fun with all of that!
Hope you have a nice weekend. :)

I too have been looking for a bit more Katia Alba- http://stores.ebay.com/Ewell-Love-It-Yarns
has a few colors for much less than Woolie Ewe. I'm sure your Tempting will turn out great- I'm just loving this yarn.
