I've never used a chart. I've most definitely never created my own chart. I have been wanting to knit some pink ribbon items to sell, the proceeds from which will be for my sister who is walking in the Seattle 3-Day, in memory of our mom.
While watching TV this evening, I whipped up this:

I'm envisioning playing with the wristlet-type things more, as well as felted bags, and some scarves. I hope people will buy them, especially since it's for such a great cause.

I *LOVE* it!!! I would totally dig a bag or scarf, or a pattern to make said items, when I do the Susan G. Komen walk later this year!!!

Great! I did the NY 3-day a few years ago! It was an amazing event! I think everyone should do it atleast ONCE - it'll change you (for the better). It's so hard to describe - just wonderful! Is she walking with anyone?
