my sister walks the walk

So my sister Susan is doing the Avon 3-Day Walk to fight breast cancer. As you may know, this is near and dear to me since my mom died after fighting two bouts of breast cancer.
She only needs to raise a few hundred more dollars in order to participate. She has been making and selling these gorgeous bracelets in order to raise money. They are $30.
If you are interested in buying one (100% of the proceeds are for the walk, so tax-deductible), please email Susan.

It looks as if there is gold in there, but it's actually silver and glass beads.
Thanks!!

  • All the best to your sister in the walk. I lost my dad to cancer almost 5 years ago.

  • best wishes to your sister on the walk and fundraising. my friend did the San Diego Rock n Roll marathon in 2004 after finding out her nephew was diagnosed with leukemia. she almost made it - they picked her and some other runners up when she was only 1 mile from finishing the race! her nephew is doing ok right now. my roommate also survived a brain tumor - i think the 2 year mark for being cancer-free is coming up. there's so many different forms of cancer, so finding a cure is so difficult. but i've learned that most research concentrates on breast cancer and prostate cancer (i use to work in cancer research). again, best of luck to your sister (and the bracelet is beautiful!)
