yarn porn alert!

Not my yarn, mind you! Yet!!

You must, must go see the glam goodness my local knitting pal has created. We are talking lushly-coloured sequined (squee!) yarn!
Case in point:

Yummy much??!!

crap!

The other day I was reading blogs and someone had a link to a pattern for a felted bag/ basket type thing. It was circular with a flat bottom and there was a plain version and a faux-basketweave version. The pattern author was charging $5 for the pattern. I thought I bookmarked it, but apparently not.
Can anyone help me find it??

so little time to knit

I was super sick last week/ weekend, too sick to even knit! Not only that, but between working, kiddo demands and home improvement tasks, the knitting is slow-going. Nonetheless, I have a bit of a start on Crumpets:

Isn't it lovely? I can't wait to see it on Miss V.

I got my final package from my Knittyboard Secret Pal-- so cool! She sent me some cool knitty.com swag, a sweet little knit pouch, some knitting enclosures which coincidentally are made by a local friend, and all the necessary supplies to make MaryElla!! Yay! Thanks again, Jaclyn, you have been an awesome pal!

cool

redsweaters.org

In other news, progress on all my projects is very, very slow right now. I'm thinking after I finish what I've got underway, it's all about bags and hats for a while. Small, portable, quick-finish items. Ooh! Or socks, perhaps. It's probably about time.

add to the stash!

What's this? Adding to the stash on the very same day you've revealed just how much you have accumulated? ahem.
Well, I neeeeeeded this. It's for Crumpets.

lion brand cotton-ease in sugarplum, along with some apparently invisible beads for the bodice.

While I was there, I did pick up two other small balls of yarn, on shall we call it a whim? It does have an intended purpose, though, but I can't reveal too much about it. It's pretty, though, and I will show it soon, since the project itself will take next to no time at all.

flash yer stash!

It's April 1st!

Here's my stash in its entirety, minus WIPs:

Wool:

let's see, there's some LP Bulky, some Patons Classic Wool, some Galway Classic, some Elann Peruvian, a ball or Rowan Big Wool, 2 of Cascade Jazz, some cascade 220 quattro, & multiple Kureyon leftovers.

Wool blends:

Ok, there's some Paton's Bella, some LB Landscapes, a couple leftover hanks of Cascade Lana D'Oro and some LP Cotton Fleece.

Cotton:

Sugar & Cream, one lone hank of CP Cotton Chenille, some leftover Berroco Cotton Twist, some Rowan Wool Cotton, Rowan Cotton Glace w/ abandoned baby booties, and tons of Suss Cotton from two kits I bought when the kits were 75% off.
A close-up of the Suss:

Some random mohair & eyelash, neither of which do I have a clue what I'll ever knit:

I'm in love with this Cascade Jazz-- I bought it when it first came out at a LYS who had it marked at $9/ skein. I think she meant $19, because I have since seen it for anywhere from $17 to $20. I knit a gorgeous chemo cap out of the first skein, but I haven't decided what to do with these two:

Oh! Books!

I think that's about it for my stash! It's not immense, but it's got some decent variety. It all fits into my mother's hope chest, so I kind of use that as a stopping point-- if I can't close the lid, no more yarn! Of course, I have to go buy 6 skeins of Cotton-Ease today so I can start Crumpets.
Hmmm, crumpets. I need breakfast!
