Everyone is talking about it. Did James Frey lie in his "memoir" A Million Little Pieces, and if so, is it within his creative license? Will it ruin his career or give it non-needed boost? Do the embellishments he's admitted to in anyway make the book less valid or important?

I love what Ariel Gore has to say.
Talk amongst yourselves.

I guess I unwittingly took part in International Pajama Day yesterday. Check out Celia's blog. She is new to me, and I like her style.
Sadly, I got very little knitting done, since I still felt miserable all day. Around 6 PM, poor Silas submitted to the tummy plague, too. So, 3 out of 4 of us were lying around feeling miserable while the four-year-old ran around with her usual vigor. Rockin' good times.

I happen to know I have a package awaiting me at ye olde apartment office (two months to house completion--I can make it...) and I'm hoping it's something gorgeous from misshawklet so I will soon shower and do my best to hobble over that way. I'm still sore and have no appetite at all. This sucks!
While I'm out on my big outing, I will try to take a picture of my car magnet so I can make Ms Scout happy. She needs to take a picture of her sweet boy wearing his Boogie time, to make ME happy. If that's confusing to you, you need a quickie background-- Scout & I are best grrlfriends, our boys are best kid-friends (and were born 5 hours apart!) and I knit Boogie time for both boys because they always have to have the same stuff AND I knew that they would rock the first grade wearing something so stylie and cool!
Oh! And my sister sent me a picture of her wearing Wavy. Doesn't she look cute?

sicksicksick

I have the worst stomach flu I have ever had. Both my kids had a one-puke kind of thing over the last week, but I got it times 100. Feel free to feel sorry for me.

I had to exit Silas' birthday dinner last night, but T took some pictures. Here is my sweet 7 year-old with his Boogietime-- he was just as psyched about it as I hoped he would be!

swag, baby

I have to confess, I love the $1 section at Target. It's always changing & you can score some great stuff. Right now, it's all about organizing for the new year, so they have all this stuff called "Wash Day". I bought a belt hanger, two lint rollers and a sweater shaver, for a buck apiece! Also, a little earring tree, but really, the sweater shaver for a buck! Who can pass that up??

Also today, I finally gave Scout her Hanukkah present!

The photo really doesn't do the colors justice, though. It's a free kpixie pattern, using Southwest Trading Company's Karaoke. Isn't it beautiful yarn? It was dreamy to work with, too!

Also, while Vivienne was doing gymnastics today, I finished the first Boogie time, for Silas' birthday.

I think he is going to be sooo psyched!
I'm also going to copy Scout and half the other knitbloggers in the universe & make a cabled bag!
